My high school friend DJ own's this spot which has a great view of the marsh. You can walk but some may prefer to bike.

This is where you go to get the pre-cooked lobsters and steamers (which are clams steamed in their shells). This is also owned by the local foodie celebrity couple. Also walkable, but a bike may be better.

This is the closest restaurant for a classic sit down breakfast. Most will want to drive, although it is bikeable. In the same plaza as Landry's Shop'n'Save.

An incredible spot for brunch (although any meal here is great). Incredible ocean views and a beautiful front lawn (on the beach). You could ride your bike or drive, but keep in mind they do not have a hug parking lot.

This ice cream is FANTASTIC. The sea salted caramel is incredible. You will have to wait in line, especially if a little league baseball or softball game just finished. But it is worth the wait. The family's seafood restaurant is next door. The fried haddock is the best.

Here is where you can rent gear, or just get out and play.
Here is where you can get your kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. You can walk from the house (and bike back). I would recommend a bike to explore Old Orchard Beach, parking is a nightmare.

Shop like a Mainer
We love our bargains and they are not hard to find. Both outlet malls are less than 45 minutes away (Freeport or Kittery). Plus we have some good local retailers.
I have found so many incredible bargains:
-Ugg and Muck boots for less than $100
-Rebecca Minkoff and Tumi bags for less than $125
-Calloway and Ping golf clubs
-Le Creuset dutch oven
-Marc Jacobs jackets
