A very relaxed and spacious (135 m2) home in the center of the vibrant Amsterdam area "de Pijp". The comfortable apartment is located on the top two floors and has all the nice features to make your stay feel like a luxurious holiday. There are 2 large bedrooms with excellent queen size beds (160x200 and 160x210), a complete bathroom (shower, Jacuzzi & sauna), a separate toilet, a washer,dryer, a modern kitchen, a fire place, a balcony next to the kitchen and a (360 view) large roof top terrace

Our bright, spacious (135m2) and luxurious apartment is located on the top 2 floors. This typical Amsterdam apartment building from 1900’s has been renovated inside and out. There are three flights of stairs to the apartment door. Once inside there is a small landing where you can hang your coat.
After another set of stairs you walk into the open space living area, where you will find the lounge (tv) area with a beautiful fire place; the dining area; the modern open plan kitchen and the balcony. The kitchen is ready for use with all the essential appliances (5 gas burners, oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer and refrigerator). You’ll also find a blender, juicer, water boiler, Nespresso Coffee Machine, all sorts of utensils and you can use all basic ingredients available in the kitchen (salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil, etc.). The courtyard-facing balcony is perfect for your morning coffee or evening dinners and has afternoon/evening sun.

On the top floor, you will find 2 large bedrooms (one in the front and one in the back) with closet space for guest usage; a separate toilet; a complete bathroom (2 sinks, a shower, a Jacuzzi and even a moderate sized sauna (easy to accommodate 2 people)); a closet with a washer & dryer and a fixed set of stairs to the large (35m2) roof top terrace.
Hopefully the weather in Amsterdam will offer you some nice times on the roof terrace, as it is an excellent retreat to lounge and enjoy the 360 degrees view over Amsterdam.

Right outside your doorstep is the famous Albert Cuyp Market. 6 Days in the week (except sunday). You can sample local wares (like stroopwafels, poffertjes, kroketten) on the market or do some souvenir shopping. Every morning they will set up the market and every night they break it down again and clean the street.
Although the house is very well isolated, you may hear some sounds from the market, especially when the windows on the font side of the apartment are open and during the time when the Market is being setup in the morning and broken down in the evening.
Beware not to park your car on the market street between 06:00 am - 21:00 pm (except for Sunday).

The apartment is located on the famous Albert Cuyp Market (100+ years) in the middle of the vibrant and booming area ‘De Pijp’ with lots and lots of lovely eateries, restaurants and bars nearby from all over the world. ‘De Pijp’ is known as the ‘Quartier Latin’ of Amsterdam.
It is also in walking distance from:
-The museum area (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, Stedelijk museum) and 'het Concertgebouw' – 15 minute walk;
-Rembrandsplein (movies, bars, food, clubs) – 15 minute walk;
-Leidseplein (movies, bars, food, clubs) – 20 minute walk
-Nieuwmarkt – (bars, food, old town) – 25 minute walk
-De Dam (shops, city center) – 30 minute walk

It is also close to some nice parks like 'het Sarphatipark' (3 minute walk) and 'het Vondelpark' (20 minute walk). Several tram connections are available and recently the new Metro 'Noord Zuidlijn' has opened with an entrance at the end of our street (3 minute walk). Convenient when arriving from Schiphol (via train and metro).

So all in all much to explore and enjoy during your stay :-)
