Walk to the train from this private 3rd floor suite with private bath available. Off street parking included . Queen size bed, futon and space for air mattresses. Perfect for visiting a student at Bryn Mawr, Haverford or Villanova. Suitable for family with children. Easy walking access to Paoli Septa line which is a 20 minute ride to Center City as well as Septa High Speed rail and also walking distance to many shops/food/entertainment

Queen size bed and futon in 500 square feet of living space. I also have an oversized memory foam sleeping pad and an air mattress if needed .The room has a private bathroom and shower. You are welcome to share very basic kitchen access with limited cooking and off street parking. I make my driveway available for off street parking for my guests who come via car.
Please note this is on the third floor so there are stairs and if you have trouble negotiating stairs this listing may not be appropriate. This is my home, not a hotel and I live here as well. Friends and family of mine may come to visit occasionally. It is a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Easy walking distance to train (SEPTA- Bryn Mawr stop) and high speed rail. Center City Philadelphia is a 15-20 min train ride away. Walking distance to Lancaster Ave which shops, restaurants and bars. Walking distance to Bryn Mawr Film Institute, Ludington Library, Bryn Mawr Hospital. Less than one mile from Villanova , Haverford College and Bryn Mawr College, so able to walk there . Restaurants nearby include Turning Point,Enoteca Tredici, Bryn and Dane's, UP Ryes bagel, Bodega , Mediterranean Grille, Ekta, EL Limon, Sushiland, Xolo, Tin Lizard Brewing Company, Avalon Bistro,The Choice, Snap Custom Pizza Gullifty’s , The Grog, Kelly's Taphouse, Qdoba, Bagel Factory, La Colombe Coffee. All are walking distance. This location is also very convenient to The Ardmore Music Hall, and the many shops and restaurants of Ardmore, which as about 2 miles and a quick uber or train ride away . Central to many highways, including 76 and 476 with easy access to Septa Regional rail and perfect location for getting into the city via Septa or a quick drive to the sights of Valley Forge or the King of Prussia Mall.

I've raised two young adults on my own and now find myself with extra space and one of the things I would enjoy is meeting different and diverse people.. I’ve been hosting for almost three years and I love that I can provide a service and restful place to stay for people visiting the area where they don’t need to have a car and there really are few local options of hotels.

My guests so far have come from all over the world and generally are visiting the local colleges, Bryn Mawr hospital, Valley Forge Park and the city of Philadelphia or are here for weddings and other family events.

I hope I am able to provide a convenient space so a visiting parent or prospective student can get a true feel of the area as well as stay in an extremely convenient location..but don't worry if you aren't visiting one of the local colleges, I'm happy to have anyone who wants to take advantage of all the area has to offer. My home is walking distance to the hospital, regional rail so it is quite easy to get into Philly and many of the local points of interest. There are also many, many options for dining within walking distance as well.

Now that my children are grown, I suddenly have the time to travel as well so in addition to being a host, I hope to be a more frequent traveller!

I grew up in Massachusetts, spent many years in Maine and now am enjoying PA

I enjoy running and have run four marathons and many half marathons as well. One of my favorite things about where I currently live is all the the places I have accessibility to by walking. It's a great lifestyle.

I work full time but will be home in the evenings and available to answer any questions that arise. I live in the house and can have as much or little interaction as needed. Am easily available via text as well. I try to give my guests as much space and privacy as they need or want and generally let my guests take the lead with with regard to interaction
