This newly renovated, 1-bedroom, single-storey bolthole is perfect for couples wanting to escape to the countryside, with the Cotswolds, Wye Valley and Malvern Hills all on the doorstep and Cheltenham less than 10 miles away. Furnished throughout in a contemporary, functional style, with the double-height ceiling providing character and light. Outside is a small patio with seating. Within 1.5 miles of two popular pubs. Off-street parking for 2 cars. Accepts one dog (max) additional £40 pet fee*

Turn off a country lane and head down a quiet, residential drive to arrive at Laburnum Farm Estate, the location of a row of three, one-bedroom, self-catering getaways cleverly converted from a single barn. Daffodil Barn is the first barn at the near end.

Inside, Daffodil Barn has been furnished and decorated in a modern, polished style with neutral colours and just a hint of yellow to reflect its namesake. The high ceiling with several Velux windows makes this a light and bright holiday home. The single-level accommodation includes a spacious, open-plan kitchen-dining-living area equipped with every facility needed for a self-catering holiday, including a large smart TV, a separate bedroom with a king-size bed and a second smart TV, and a large bathroom, with a walk-in shower and bath.

The barn has a small patio by the front door, with a bistro table and two chairs where you can sit and enjoy a reviving morning cuppa or an evening drink. To the side is a large, gravelled forecourt, providing dedicated parking for guests in Daffodil Barn and its companion barns, Rose and Lily.

Full Property Description
Ground Floor

Step through from the front patio into the immaculately presented, spacious, open-plan kitchen-dining-living area. Daffodil Barn has wood-effect flooring throughout, softened with rugs in the living area and bedroom and a double-height ceiling, making this a light and bright retreat with a contemporary interior design.

Kitchen-Dining Area:
The corner kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, washer-dryer, microwave (not shown), small appliances, plus all the crockery, glassware and cutlery needed for a self-catering holiday. To one side is a square table with four stools, providing an adaptable dining area for guests.

Living Area:
Tucked away from the kitchen-dining space is the living area, with a large, chaise-end corner sofa where you can snuggle up or stretch out in front of the smart TV. A window, with blinds, looks out over the patio to the front.

Bedroom:
From the living area, head through a door into the spacious bedroom, with a feature light-yellow wall and king-size bed. The bed is complemented with bedside tables and reading lamps, with USB-power points to either side, two chests of drawers, a smart TV (32”) and a full-length mirror with a small hanging rail. A rear window, overlooking a private path, adds light to the room.

Bathroom:
Just off the kitchen area is a roomy bathroom with a full-size bath, walk-in shower, with rainfall and handheld shower heads, a W.C., a handbasin and vanity unit and a mirror with a light, demister function and shaver point. Two large Velux windows throw lots of light down into the bathroom, and a heated towel rail keeps the room warm and cosy.

Outside
Daffodil Barn has a small patio to the front that’s tucked under the wooden portico running the length of the three barns, making it possible to sit outside year-round.

Gretton Fields is a quiet hamlet just off the Cotswold escarpment that’s close to the charming town of Winchcombe (3 miles), home to Sudeley Castle - one of the Cotswolds most popular attractions - and a wide range of independent boutiques and food shops. The pretty Cotswold village of Broadway, with the GWR steam railway station, is eight miles away whilst the charms of Regency Cheltenham Spa are less than ten miles away and Cheltenham Racecourse is just 6.5 miles away.

There is a well-stocked Co-operative supermarket and a Warner Budgens in Winchcombe (3.1 miles), and Co-operative in Gotherington (4.5 miles). A large Tesco is in Bishops Cleeve (5.3 miles). Winchcombe also has a range of independent shops including Vale & Hills Family Butchers, which offers fantastic, local meat on the town’s high street, and North’s Bakery for those in search of a fresh morning loaf or delicious baked goodies.

• The Royal Oak at Gretton (1.4 miles) has a fabulous garden, and you might be lucky enough to catch the steam train puffing past on its way between Broadway and Cheltenham.
• The Gardeners Arms in Alderton (1.4 miles) is a characterful thatched 16th Century pub offering good food in a lovely setting.
• Ye Old Hobnails Inn (1.4 miles) this 15th Century inn offers a traditional country pub experience with open fires and low beams.
• 5 North Street (3.1 miles) - Michelin-starred dining in Winchcombe.
