Top House is a cosy cottage with modern touches in the rural village of Forden, two pubs 1.5 miles away.200m from Offas' Dyke footpath
We offer up to 6 guests Self/Catering, there are 3 double bedrooms, all en suite with TV and free wifi. 2 rooms have Superking zip n link beds which can be split to offer twin beds instead, just let me know which you prefer. Downstairs is open plan. Kitchen, dining room and sitting room with log burner and TV. There are low ceilings and steps upstairs.

Top House is ideal for friends to meet up, families are welcome but I am unable to cater properly for children under 5 years old, as no stair gates, high chairs or fire guards provided, please message me to discuss if you have multiple aged children.
The wood burning stove is a favourite with guests on cold days and the small patio is ideal to sit and chat in the evenings when it is warmer. There is no gate off the patio .There is off street parking for 3 cars, 2 in the carport.
The house is not really very pet or small child friendly, so sorry its easier to say no to pets.
You have exclusive use of the cottage. A locked internal door separates your part of the cottage from my bit, the utility/study, so I can do the laundry for the next guests or access my files I do not live on site but you are welcome to use the washing machine in this area, just ask or text me and we can arrange it. I use a separate entrance door to access this area.

Guests have exclusive use of an open plan kitchen with extra sofa and breakfast table for 4. The dining room seats 6, the sitting room has sofas and chairs for 6 to watch television or use the wood burner.
Upstairs there are 3 double ensuite bedrooms, each bedroom has a television. There are split levels and some low ceilings upstairs and each bathroom has a step into it. The main bedroom has a bath with over bath shower. The other two bedroomshave shower rooms.

I live nearby and can advise on places to visit and things to do Welshpool is 4 miles away and has Powis Castle, The Llanfair light railway, the Railway station, the canal, various supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. Montgomery is a traditional market town with a ruined castle on the hill with fabulous views. The area is packed with footpaths and lovely places to visit. The sea is 50 miles away and Snowdonia national park can be reached within 2 hours. Shrewsbury is 18 miles and Chester is 40 miles away.

Pre-Covid I did B&B, now self catering at Top House. I am outgoing, bubbly and cheerful, I live near to the cottage, so any problems or questions please just ask. My partner also farms , I have a flock of cross bred sheep and a growing number of Dutch Spotted sheep. I am a keen gardener, love the out-doors, have 2 dogs. My hope is that all my visitors will love the house and surrounding area and will want to return!
