Upper Loft Unit is the top floor of the guest house. With it's own entrance & deck area, No Interaction (if desired) from the lower unit is possible. Loft Supplies: Living room/kitchen area, private bathroom, large bedroom with 2 twins/1 full bed (Fitted Bed spreads). Deck with an amazing view of the area. Guests DO HAVE FULL USE of the large yard. Guest House Has: Parking area, two Illinois river lots, charcoal grill, screened in porch. ALL linens, towels, Bed sheets!!

Located in Pike County, Illinois.....FGH is located along the Illinois River, in a small town of 28 people but Can Still Provide a Safe, Quiet, Peaceful....PRIVATE Stay!!!! Owner/Operator lives 2 blocks away but is Available for ANY problems, questions, concerns--- 24/7!!!

Tho in a Small town of only 28 people, the neighborhood around Florence Guest House (FGH) is considered a SAFE AREA!!! Guests' have TWO Worlds: In a Community of people around them BUT have the Privacy of Being Alone if that is Their Choice!!! Privacy & Security are My Main Goals at FGH!!!! Realizing that anything can happen Anywhere; There has been NO Crimes in this Community for years & Current Residents are Respectful!!!

My Love & I worked together to start this Guest House back in 2004. Prior to this time, He & I traveled many times to Texas, staying with a very old friend of His for the winter. I would cook for the Lady & fill up Her freezer before We would head back to Illinois. We always drove to our destinations because we took Our 3 Furry Family members with Us: A Lab, Irish Wolfhound Mix & a Beagle. I learned A Lot about how people like to be treated while on the road because I was amazed at what I saw during Our trips. He died in 2010, but not before the Florence Guest House was up & running. I am Owner/Operator. I do not have employee's for this little GH is way too small for that. I do everything from the bookings to the toilet cleaning. I am the only one with a master key so Guests don't have to worry about who might be coming into the building when not there. There is a 4 number security system on the door so Keys are Never handed out. 4 numbers the Guests pick out opens the door. I personally do everything from changing towels, replacing toilet paper to taking out the garbage & running the vacuum. I do My work when Guests are enjoying the area or those working in the area are at their job. I Never Touch anything but what I'm responsible for & own. I enjoy seeing People Arrive with Excitement & Energy to start their time here, which I try to make: "A Home Away From Home Atmosphere!".

I Understand that My Guests are here for a reason, but that reason is NOT to put up with Me thru Their entire stay!!!! Care & Upkeep (cleaning, replacing towels, laundry service) is provided by Me--Alone; I have No Employees!! That work is done per the time frame of the Guests. That Being Said: Guests deserve Their Personal Space, BUT I AM AVAILABLE---24/7 IF there are Any problems, questions, concerns. Just a phone call (home or cell, Provided) away and I'M THERE!!!!
