Clean, quiet and spatious rooms with gorgeous view on the rice fields (sawah) of Mas. The owner's family with a long relation to balinese fine arts (music, dance, mask & wood carving) is delighted to show you around the numerous activities in the region of Ubud and Mas in particular! If you are really fond of balinese art, they even propose you special lessons!

4 individual appartments in the same house, each composed of an airy room with clean private bathroom (bathtub and shower), a large, comfortable double bed and nice wooden furniture. Sitting on a nice bench on the balcony, you can enjoy the relaxing panorama of the rice fields, while a nice, fresh balinese breeze swipes through the long white curtains in your back.
At night the sweet faded-out melody of the local gamelan will put you to sleep. Should you still be jetlaged and wake up in the middle of the night, you'll hear nature's music from the forest: the frogs, crickets, nightingales and other creatures join together to perform a unique tropical symphony!

Whether you relax on your own or immerse yourself into the endless, deep local culture, characteristic of this district, it's upnto you! Nyoman's (owner) father may be first preparing you a gorgeous papaya-jackfruit salad for breakfast and next teaching you the gamelan or topeng masks carving under a nice bale, protected from the tropical heat and rain! Nyoman is a dance teacher and also an excellent musician. He has been internationally performing and directs the local dance groups. The owner's family has a long tradition with balinese fine arts (music, dance, mask & wood carving) and will be happy to show you around the numerous activities in the region of Ubud and Mas in particular! And if you are really into balinese art, they can even give you private lessons at an afordable rate!

There is probably no other region in Bali where culture and arts are present to such extend, like the region of Mas/Ubud. While Ubud is filled with western tourists, in Mas you have the chance to experience authentic balinese life and still be within reach of the shops/restaurants of Ubud.

Next to Kusumayuda' House you will find small balinese restaurants (warung), where locals eat out, and of course supermarkets, laundry service and ATMs.
