Speedwell Cottage is a pretty Forest cottage which has been lovingly restored to offer spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to six guests. Perfectly located in the picturesque New Forest village of Woodgreen, the cottage has direct Forest access and offers walking and cycling routes right from the front gate!

Inside, a comfortable lounge with squishy sofa and wood burning stove has room for everyone to relax whatever the season.

Entrance into hallway with storage for coats and shoes, stairs to first floor and doors to lounge and kitchen.
Lounge with plenty of comfortable seating, including a window seat overlooking the front garden, Smart TV with FreeSat and wood burning stove.
Dining kitchen spacious dual aspect room with table, chairs and bench seating for seven and additional breakfast bar with 2 stools. Built-in electric oven and induction hob, under-counter larder fridge and separate freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and cafetiere. Small sofa and patio door giving access to the rear enclosed courtyard garden. Underfloor heating.
Utility cupboard with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Cloakroom with basin and WC.

FIRST FLOOR

Bedroom 1 'Donkey' with 6ft super-king size zip and link bed which converts to twin 3ft single beds (please advise preferred bed configuration at time of booking), built-in wardrobes, drawers and TV with FreeSat. Views over front garden and wandering ponies outside the front gate!
Bedroom 2 'Bee' with 6ft king size zip and link bed which converts to twin 3ft beds (please advise at time of booking) and drawers. Views over the front garden.
Family bathroom with double-ended bath with handheld shower attachment, large shower enclosure, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Underfloor heating.
Bedroom 3 'Dragonfly' with 3ft single bed, with 2ft 6in truckle bed under and drawer unit.
En-suite shower room with shower cubicle, wash basin, WC and towel rail. Underfloor heating.

Outside:

The peaceful garden stretches across the front of the cottage, with various seating areas dotted around to capture sunny spots throughout the day. There is an area of lawn, with seasonal shrubs giving all year-round colour and mature trees hugging the boundaries. A charcoal barbecue is available during the summer months for al fresco meals and a small courtyard to the rear offers an enclosed paved space, with bird feeders tempting in plenty of winged visitors!

Parking:

There is parking for several cars on the private driveway.

EV Charging: Electric vehicle charging is possible via the outdoor mains socket to the side of the cottage.

Included: Bed linen and towels (guests must provide their own beach towels if required), oil central heating, underfloor heating in some rooms, internet, Wi-Fi and welcome pack. Large basket of logs in the appropriate season. Mobile reception is generally reasonable, although please check with your provider prior to booking.
Pets: Two dogs accepted. Must be over the age of one year old (unless agreed with the owner prior to booking). Dogs must be fully housetrained, well behaved and kept downstairs and off the furniture. Please note a £30 pet charge per dog per week applies.
Children: All ages welcome. 1 x highchair, 1 x tripp/trapp toddler chair, 1 x travel cot (please bring own cot bedding) and stair gate available on request. Baby Dan fire guard fitted in lounge.
Bed configuration: Please advise at time of booking (see Accommodation section for options).
EV Charging: Electric vehicle charging possible (See parking section for details).
Bicycle Storage: Outside in courtyard to the rear of the cottage. A bicycle rack is available; please bring your own lock. Hose also supplied.
Short Breaks: Available all year round from a Friday or Monday.
Local facilities: Woodgreen Community Shop and Post Office (0.5 miles), The Horse and Groom pub (0.5 miles), the Bat and Ball, Breamore (1.4 miles) and Woodfalls Inn (2.6 miles). All the amenities of Fordingbridge (4 miles) including shops, café’s, pubs and restaurants, plus petrol station. The historic city of Salisbury (11.5 miles) and beaches of the south coast including Mudeford and Bournemouth (approx. 20 miles).
