🏡 OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

We’re in a central, evolving Tucson neighborhood with a mix of residential, small-business and light-industrial properties. Our particular street is primarily residential, with a handful of small local businesses mixed in.

My partner and I live and run our family businesses right here, including his one-man neighborhood mechanic shop next door. You may see cars being worked on as you arrive or hear the everyday sounds of an active city neighborhood during the day.

Once through the coded gate and down the pathway, the streetscape gives way to our fully fenced garden, with La Casita tucked toward the back. The garden has become a guest favorite - often described as an unexpected oasis in the middle of the city.

Our once-barren yard is being restored into a lush native garden designed to support Tucson’s pollinators and wildlife.

In spring, native Pipevine Swallowtails turn the garden into an unofficial little butterfly nursery, with butterflies and caterpillars appearing throughout the property.

The garden is shared with the other units, but guests often comment on how tucked away and private it feels. Evenings are especially lovely when the neighborhood quiets and the garden lights come on.

🔑 PRIVATE + EASY SELF CHECK-IN

La Casita is a fully private, detached unit with its own entrance and keyless self check-in. You’ll reach it through the coded front gate and softly lit pathway.

🌿 SHARED GARDEN

The property has three separate units connected by the shared garden. You’re welcome to enjoy all garden lounge areas, including the gazebo, hammock, fire pit, BBQ and outdoor dining.

🚗 PARKING + GETTING AROUND

One dedicated driveway parking space is reserved for La Casita guests. Free street parking is also readily available. Uber and public transit are accessible from the neighborhood.

🧺 LAUNDRY

There is no on-site guest laundry, but a 24-hour laundromat is just minutes away. Details are provided in the house manual.

🐈 CHICHARRÓN LIVES HERE

Chicharrón, our friendly cat and unofficial co-host, lives on the property and loves lounging in the garden and greeting guests along the pathway. I do my best to keep him out of the Casita, but guests with significant cat allergies or who are uncomfortable around cats should keep this in mind when booking.

👥 REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY

Because this is my home and a shared property, only registered guests are permitted on-site. Visitors are not allowed unless approved in advance. This helps us maintain a comfortable environment for everyone staying here.

🌿 LOW-TOXIN + FRAGRANCE-CONSCIOUS

We avoid harsh chemical cleaners, synthetic fragrances and routine pesticide treatments whenever possible, both for our guests and the pollinators that share the property.

Smoking, vaping and strong fragrances are not permitted inside the Casita or in shared outdoor spaces.
