Nestled near the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and historic downtown Cape Charles, Wave Haven offers a tranquil escape for up to 10 guests. The kid-friendly 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath home is a short walk to a private beach and nature preserve within Bay Creek. Contact host to add the resort package for access to 2 pools, 2 golf courses, and a fitness center ($75/day). The home has two separate workstations, ideal for remote work. The cleaning fee includes fresh linens ($100) and a deep clean ($200).

Wave Haven is a newly built single-family home that sleeps 10 guests and contains all hardwood floors.

The main level contains a front room with a workstation and a comfortable pull-out (Queen) couch. The half bath can also serve guests staying on the main level. The living area has a breakfast nook that seats two, a dining table that seats six, and a counter that seats three. The living room contains a TV, gas fireplace, couch, swivel chair, and leather recliner, perfect for a nap or glass of wine. The area also contains a bar cart with wheels, which can double as a serving area. The kitchen serves as your home-away-from-home, with modern appliances and all of the amenities of your kitchen. The double-stack cabinets and pantry provide ample space for your food and beverages of choice!

The upper level contains three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom contains a king-size bed, a private bathroom, a workstation ideal for remote workers, a walk-in closet, a TV, and a reading nook. The two additional bedrooms each contain a TV and a bunk bed, which sleeps three—two twins and one full. The bunk beds also contain drawers in the stairs, so storage won’t be an issue. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub. The second level also contains a full Samsung front-load washer and dryer, an iron, and an ironing board.

The property also has a screened porch and fan for outdoor eating and comfort. You can also slide into Adirondack chairs on the paver patio. You can enjoy a game of cornhole, outdoor checkers, and additional games. Wave Haven has a detached garage with two bays and two additional parking spots in front of the property. While the property doesn’t offer a golf cart (you can rent one in town), it has an outlet for charging. Additionally, Wave Haven has an outdoor shower to wash off from your amazing time at the beach.

We offer a family-friendly environment, and we are mindful of those with allergies. As such, there is no smoking, and pets are not allowed. For those visiting with children, we provide a pack-and-play, Bumbo seater, high chair, corner protectors for the living room furniture, outlet protectors, and life vests. We provide family-friendly board games like Jenga and Monopoly. The property also has five smart TVs—so no fighting over what to watch! Finally, for remote workers, the house has two separate workstations and Ethernet connections for increased speed and reliability.

The single-family home is in a gated community. The host will provide you a gate code as you near your booking date. They will also provide you with a code to access the smart lock on the front door of the home and an additional set of keys.

There are two dedicated parking spots directly in front of the home and a two-car, detached garage. Seven steps lead to the front of the house, and two steps lead from the patio to the back porch.

If you would like to purchase the resort package, you must notify the host at least 5 days before your stay, so they can register you. The fee is $75 a day per reservation. Due to Airbnb payment collection limitations, you will have to pay the host directly to pay the resort fee; the fee is not refundable.

The resort package provides the following amenities:

Golf: Registered rental guests have complimentary access to the golf practice facilities with unlimited range balls. Guests must check in at the Golf Pro Shop to utilize the golf practice facilities.

-- Life Center: You will have access to two pools, a water slide, a fitness center, and the member lounge, which contains a pool table and ping pong table.

-- Beach Rentals: You are eligible for one complimentary half-day beach rental setup per service day (Friday-Sunday) based on availability (reservations required). A rental charge will be applied for any additional rental sets. Please contact the Life Center to check availability and reserve beach rentals during the stay. However, you are not obligated to use Bay Creek's beach chairs. Wave Haven comes with four adult and two child folding chairs.

-- Coach House Tavern: Registered rental guests may dine at the tavern, reservations are encouraged. Please contact the restaurant for dining reservations.

-- Nature Preserve Trails: Registered rental guests may explore nature preserve trails (entrance located near the Coach House Tavern/Golf Pro Shop parking lot).
