Alpaca walk and farm visit in Snowdonia
Our guests arrive on site, and after the “human” introductions we proceed to the alpacas, where before entering the enclosure guests are briefed on how to behave around the animals, how to handle them, and a general safety talk concerning been on a farm with loose animals. They will then come and meet the alpacas, hand feed them and learn about the history of the alpaca species with facts and information while they can also get hands on a handle the animals. Then we halter up and after practicing leading the guests then lead the alpacas around the farm, meeting the various farm animals here, depending on the time of year this can include hand feeding, bottle feeding lambs/goats kids, photo opportunities with the pigs/cattle/sheep. Whilst walking any wildlife is pointed out, along with natural features ( mountains, peat bog, ancient oak woodland). We also talk about the various farm animals, benefits of the free range systems of care, and answer any questions. We then continue the walk back to the other alpacas, before letting the herd back out. At this point guests can enjoy a drink, or are welcome to bring a picnic and can watch the alpacas at leisure, grazing and playing. At all points the guide is there to answer any questions, and tell people information about all the animals and nature. Please note this experience is only for people over 9 years old.
Axe Throwing
Axe Throwing maybe relatively new to the UK but it's quickly gaining popularity. The reason for this is very simple, it is just so satisfying throwing axes. There is no better feeling than when the axe is thrown perfectly in to the board. It is very addictive and once you've got the correct technique, you will want to throw again and again. The activity sounds rather dangerous but with our safety measures in place, it is 100% safe. We begin with a safety briefing and move on to our practice boards once everyone is confident to throw. After a few practice throws, we take on the scoring targets, where it really gets fun. The targets are made out of rings, with each ring scoring higher points than the previous one. The dead centre ring (the bullseye) has the highest amount of points. The objective during the six rounds is to score the highest and to beat the opposition. Please be aware that this experience is for those aged 16 years and upwards. The axes we use are not suitable for anyone under this age. To summarise the experience is very relaxed, unique and is a whole lot of fun. Even those of you who have tried axe throwing before, will be surprised how different our experience is. Outdoor axe throwing is very different to indoor. If you are looking to book a different date or time (including weekends) please message me. Over 100 5* reviews
Archery
I will meet and greet you when you arrive at the centre. After a very informal chat, I will run through the activity and will explain all the necessary safety procedures in place. We have a range of bows suitable for left or right handed archers. Each member will begin at a 10 metre distance from the target until they are deemed ready, by me, to move back to the 12.5 metre line. During your session we will play a number of archery competitions to see who will be the hotshot of the day and get to sit on the Viking Throne. Our range is located high up in the Herefordshire hills with amazing views of the Black Mountains and surrounding area. Please message me with any questions or if you require booking another date. Over 100 5* reviews.
Laser Clay Shooting
Laser clay shooting is an outdoor electronic version of the countryside sport of clay pigeon shooting. The objective of the game is to try and hit clays as they fly across the sky with modified shotguns that fire laser beams instead of cartridges. A maximum of 5 people can fire at once with each person being able to hit the clay twice. The advantages over clay pigeon shooting is that there is no kick back, no loud bangs and no chance of injury. All ages and abilities can play with no experience needed. A fun competitive activity for any group size from 1 to 10. A session consists of six fun but competitive rounds, these include skillshot, fastest finger & rapid fire. We end the session with a team challenge to see how good you are in comparison to our previous groups. Is your group good enough to make it on to the airbnb experience leaderboard. To summarise it is a perfect activity for anyone looking to try something new. It's FUN, it's EASY TO LEARN and it's HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. Come and give it a shot (pun intended) If you are looking to book a different date or time (including weekends) please message me. Feel free to ask me anything.

Pen y Fan From The North
Pen y fan is the highest mountain in Southern Britain! Andy's 'Pen y Fan from the North' is a glorious walk taking in as it does tracks lesser travelled and exiting climbs and descents to and from summits. This 12km and 700m of ascent walk is in part strenuous and so a bit of digging deep is required but it also has long stretches of easier terrain, particularly the long ridge off of the mountain. We will meet at the National Trust's Cwm Gwdi car park for a meet and greet and then make our way into Cwm Sere, a fine and quiet valley, to the foot of the mountains and then it's up, up and up :) The day takes in two peaks, Cribyn and Pen y Fan before we head off the hill and back along a fine ridge to the start point. Guests spend the day chatting, encouraging, congratulating and of course making friends. Shared memories of a well remembered day often lead to long term friendships and this is all part of the experience of being out with Andy. Andy's experience of guiding in the area and his developing of this unique walk will enhance your understanding of Wales and the Brecon Beacons and some of the local culture too :)

Snowdonia Canoe Journey
We meet at 10 am at my woodland, Coed Obry, 1 mile north of Penrhyndeudraeth where there is secure parking. We carry out medical checks and get to know each other, fit buoyancy aids, paddles and put our valuables in dry bags. We then drive 5 mins to the Afon Dwyryd Canoe access point and unload the canoes. After a safety briefing we paddle upstream for 1 ½ hours (the flow is weak), learning canoe techniques: the J-stroke, turning, trim, poling, and sailing.. We encounter wildlife along this stretch, buzzards, herons, kingfishers, Ospreys in Spring/summer, and a variety of ducks and geese. From 13.00-13.45 we get out at a secluded beach or quiet spot on the bank for our packed lunch. You bring your lunch and I’ll make tea and/or fresh expresso coffee on a stove. After lunch we paddle back to our access point and return to Coed Obry by 4pm to unload canoes and have tea/coffee. You will leave having learned some canoe skills and carried out a leisurely canoe journey in this beautiful part of Snowdonia, you will have encountered wildlife along the river and in the wood and have been guided by a canoe guide who is a retired Professor of Physical Geography & Outdoor Education.

Meditation with the horses
I am offering a guided meditation experience in nature in the company of my horses . We will start with a brief introduction to the horses followed by a moment to 'arrive' and be curious about how relaxed we feel in the current moment then move into the meditation process which will last from 30-60minutes . We will close with another check in to give the guest/s the opportunity to really acknowledge and share their experience. I would like the participants to 'leave' with a greater sense of connection to themselves and to the horses/nature/environment around them, also with an empowered sense of knowing that they are intimately connected and supported by mother earth. No prior horse experience needed.
Create Eco-Friendly Air-Fresheners using Porcelain Clay
I am a Ceramic Artist with a beautiful and brightly painted log cabin studio in Aberystwyth and am offering classes for up to 6 people to create 3 porcelain eco-friendly essential oil diffusers which make great reusable air-fresheners for small spaces e.g. car, wardrobe, conservatory and utility room. Great if you are looking for things to do on your visit to Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. The 2 hour class suits all abilities and begins with a demonstration by Carys to show the process, then the class will have the opportunity to practice mark making on the porcelain using a variety of tools and techniques to get a feel for the clay. We'll then pause for a cup of tea/coffee and Welsh cakes before making the diffusers. I'll guide you through 2 in a similar style to mine and the 3rd can be in your own style with plenty of different shaped cutters to choose from. The clay needs to be fired in the kiln overnight, so the participants can either pop back the following day to collect or I can post to them. Miniature Donkey Walk with a Picnic
A private session just for you, you and a friend or partner, or your family group! It includes up to 4 people but you can attend alone if you want - Do enquire though for larger groups though. After meeting the donkeys, you groom them, pop on their little panniers and we'll walk with one or two lead reins on each donkey depending on group size & condfidence of the walkers. This is a micro-group experience, spending a lot of time getting to know the donkeys. We walk for about 30 minutes to a scenic picnic point with panoramic views towards Pen y Fan and the Central Beacons. The walk is fairly easy, through some woodland and then open hilltop meadow with a bit of uneven ground and gentle inclines with one or two steeper parts but we take our time and never rush anyone. There are easier walks we can also do, especially if wet or very muddy. The picnic is a light snack meal, usually with crisps, cake, granola bars, fruit and a drink (we can accommodate differing food intolerences with enough notice) During the picnic, the dinkeys graze nearby and you can pet them or just relax with the view. The walks generally start at either 10am or 2pm and last 90 mins - 2 hours. If your preferred date or start time isn't shown, do get in touch to see whether we can add in a another date or start time to suit you. Sorry but no dogs on this experience as the donkeys are scared of them
