Caithness View Luxury Farm Lodges are situated on our family’s farm, Barrock Mains, in the most Northerly County on the Scottish mainland! With acres of lovely, south facing farmland for you to explore, these beautiful brand new deluxe lodges offer far reaching views which some say are the best in the County! The lodges are only a 10 minute drive from John O'Groats and 5 miles away from the NC500 route and the coast. The main towns of Wick and Thurso are only a 20 minute drive away. The lodges allow visitors to enjoy an authentic experience of the ‘great outdoors’ and ‘getting back to nature’ with the added luxury of very comfy beds and soft furnishings. The beautiful vaulted ceilings in each spacious lodge sets them apart from the rest. Our lodges sleeps up to 6 people and include a shower room, kitchen area, open plan living area with a sofa bed, a double bed and a further separate twin bedroom. All bedding and towels are supplied and included in the daily rate. The lodges also have private BBQ huts so you can “eat out” and enjoy a tasty meal using locally sourced, high quality produce if you wish to. Barrock Mains is a working farm and there’s always plenty to observe from shearing the sheep in June to ploughing the fields in the winter. There are also many wonderful walks to enjoy. An hour’s walk from the lodges, heading west, brings you to Oalston House. The views here are inspirational and only the sound of the Lapwing (Shochadh) and Curlew can be heard. Whichever season you choose to visit, Caithness View gives visitors the opportunity to experience a simpler way of life, which can be shared with friends and family, and to explore the wonderful county of Caithness and all it has to offer.
