Get your taste buds ready for the ride because there is nothing quite like Northern Thai cuisine. I limit my daily small-group street food tour to just 8 exclusive guests each evening to provide a more intimate atmosphere. Over the course of the evening, we’ll bounce between 5-6 different spots into the city to try more than 15 different drinks, snacks and dishes. We’ll kick off at 5pm with your fellow guests and delve into the history and eating culture in Northern Thailand. We’ll start with a plate of khao kha moo (braised pork in five spices) at a vendor once visited by Anthony Bourdain before hopping in our private songthew truck to head off to one of the best food markets in Thailand. Here we’ll eat different Thai snacks and learn about the ingredients that go into making the dishes. You simply can’t visit Northern Thailand within trying the herby larb, sticky gaeng hang lay curry and sai oua sausage. Nor can you skip the tea and tamarind leaf salads brought in during the 2 centuries of Burmese rule or the nam prik pastes. We’ll also visit Chiang Mai’s Chinatown where you’ll try herby nam ngiaw noodles and other local snacks. Sign off with silken tofu ginger soup. Please note: this tour isn't suitable for those with don't eat pork, vegetarians and vegans. Lactose intolerance can be accommodated, as can gluten intolerance if soy sauce can be consumed. Tour the Colorful Chiang Rai Temples
***Join in Tour is available Mon/Tue/Wed/Fr/Sun*** The main attraction of this tour is the White Temple. If you’re looking for ancient ruins, you might be surprised to find a modern architectural masterpiece designed and built by local artist Chaloemchai Khositphiphat. The Blue Temple or Wat Rong Seua Ten literally translates to ‘temple of the dancing tiger.’ It was built on a site where tigers were said to have jumped over the river. If the White Temple was meant to be a stairway to heaven, the Black House has been called a “dark, mysterious, and almost sadistic” representation of hell, complete with preserved animals and a collection of bones. Built by Thailand national artist Thawan Duchanee (who incidentally was the mentor of Chaloemchai, the White Temple guy), the Baan dam Museum (Black House) is a cluster of nearly 40 small shadowy structures exhibiting art dating back to the Ayutthaya period. This is truly something the likes of which we’ll never see anywhere else! Other things to note IMPORTANT: IF AVAILABLE, PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR HOTEL NAME AND ADDRESS BEFORE COMPLETING THE PAYMENT. Free pick-up from central city of Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas of the Old City Wall in Chiang Mai Provincel. Otherwise, the designated meeting point is the Thapae Gate in Chiang Mai Old City.
Explore Doi Inthanon National Park

The peak lies to the east of its Himalayan cousins, surrounded by hiking trails, stunning waterfalls, and two monumental stupas dedicated to the king and queen. Perfect for adventurers and culture enthusiasts alike, this tour will take you through picturesque landscapes, remote villages, and incredible viewpoints. Our first stop is one of the largest and the most beautiful waterfalls in the country, the Wachirathan Waterfall. Then we’ll head to the amazing Sirithan Waterfall. This stunning 50-meter cascade, fed by the Mae Klan River from Doi Inthanon’s peak, is perfectly hidden deep in the pine forest. Next we’ll stop at the famous twin pagodas: the Napamatanee Don and Napaphon Bhumisiri. After lunch, we’ll burn off all that pad thai with a bit of “mini-hiking” at the Angka Nature Trail. We’ll then visit a Karen Tribe locale where we will learn a bit about the tribes people’s culture and way of life, as we explore their village of Sobhad. NOTE: This experience doesn't include entrance fees, please bring cash for entrances IMPORTANT: PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR HOTEL NAME AND ADDRESS. Free pick-up only for customers in the central city of Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas of the Old City Wall in Chiang Mai Province only. If not, we will meet at meeting point.

We’ll head to Wat Pha Lat, a hidden temple where we’ll take in the lush jungles and serene statues and shrines. We’ll wrap up our half day morning tour with a stop at Wat U-Mong next, a 700-year old temple built back in 1297.
